Yuletide Letter 2025
Oct. 22nd, 2025 10:14 amHi! I’m on AO3 as ChangeMyPlan. I’ve written for a couple other fandoms, but I love trying new fandoms for Yuletide! I also love fluffy fic. A bit of H/C is fine, but more C than H. I love a snarky dynamic and strong platonic friend/family bonds. If you’re writing a romantic relationship, I’m interested in unequal power dynamics, especially ones which are a subversion of the expected dynamic or have a twist. Not all that interested in smut, generally prefer gen > het > slash. I adore gen crack, and really appreciate dramatic monologues (especially in evil-adjacent characters). And I really like daemon AUs and character studies.
I love Jewish characters, whether they’re canonical or headcanon.
DNWs: body mutilation, incest, noncon.
Meh on: Coffee shop or other mundane AUs, slow-burn romance
The Memoirs of Lady Trent
I adore this series, mostly because I want to be Isabella when I grow up. I love the tone of voice and the fact that she never lets disapproval stop her. I also like how the worldbuilding is quietly Jewish or at least skew to Earth. I think it would be really funny to have a section of her letters as published contemporaneously, not the autobiographical retrospective. Stupid fights that men picked with her, maybe?
Princess Bride
This movie just gives me the warm and fuzzies. I'm up for anything funny--whether Inigo Montoya trying to figure out what to do with his life now that Rugen is dead, to Westley trying the Dread Pirate Roberts routine on his first baby, to Humperdinck attempting righteous vengeance and failing hilariously.
Columbo
I've started watching Columbo reruns, and I quite enjoy the howcatchem structure--or, for a bit more of a meta take, how bumbling is Columbo, really?
Uglies series
Given the pattern where the last word in one book is the title of the next, the only plausible next book is Cakes.
(On a more serious note, these books are roughly twenty years old. How has the idea of prettiness as an ideal evolved? Would we even need the lobotomies any more?)
I'm so excited to see what you write! Thanks in advance. :)
